Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Wins Industry’s 2025 Innovation Award
3M has won the ASC 2025 Innovation Award for the adhesive & sealant industry for their Fastbond™ Pressure Sensitive Adhesive 1049. The Innovation awards recognize the top three innovations from the adhesive and sealant industry. 3M took home the ‘Top Innovation’ award at the Adhesive & Sealant Council’s Annual Convention & EXPO in Jacksonville, Florida April 14 – 16, 2025.
3M’s PSA offers versatility as it can securely and permanently bond a range of lightweight industrial fabrics and fiberglass insulation materials to many types of substrates. The adhesive’s formula is easy to dispense and apply directly onto surfaces and allows for immediate repositioning without damage to the substrates.
3M reports that their Fastbond pressure sensitive, water-based adhesive matches or exceeds the performance of solvent-based adhesives, while significantly reducing VOCs. The PSA also utilizes a novel adhesive delivery system, leveraging a cylinder technology that allows for improved cylinder compatibility, resulting in better shelf-life of the product.
