Trinseo has opened a new North America Innovation Center in Exton, Pennsylvania, adding to the company’s global research and development network. The facility is intended to support materials testing, formulation work, and application development for customers across multiple industries.
According to the company, the center is equipped with laboratory and compounding capabilities designed to support development of specialty polymer materials used in applications such as automotive components, building products, electronics, and consumer goods. Trinseo reports that the facility will enable closer collaboration between its technical teams and customers during product development and evaluation phases.
The company stated that the innovation center is intended to support customer engagement by providing space for joint development activities and material performance assessments. Trinseo also indicated that the center’s design incorporates examples of its materials in use, offering visitors the opportunity to view finished applications within a working environment.
For manufacturers and product developers, the new facility represents an increase in regional technical resources available for material development and testing, according to Trinseo.
