Food-grade and Non-food Grade Additives Supplies Expanding in U.S.

A developer and manufacturer of chemical additives for industrial applications, MÜNZING, has expanded their North American production headquarters in Clover, South Carolina. This state-of-the-art facility significantly boosts the company’s capabilities for both food-grade and non-food-grade additives, reports the company.

This new facility is designed to increase MÜNZING’s regional production capabilities across a range of applications. Products manufactured include liquid and powder additives formulated for food use, with options for organic, non-GMO, and identity-preserved processing. The expansion complements the company’s existing Clover plant, which produces defoamers for printing inks, coatings, and adhesives, as well as wetting agents, waxes, and foam control products. According to the company, this additional capacity will improve production flexibility, regional supply resilience, and customer service in North America.

The company reports that the new 6,400 m² facility is a testament to MÜNZING’s deep commitment to sustainability. It incorporates features like CO2-reducing technology and electric vehicle charging, all part of MÜNZING’s forward-thinking approach to environmental responsibility.

For over 195 years, MÜNZING, a global German company, has been a leader in developing and producing high-quality chemical additives for industrial applications, according to the company. With a network of six production sites and six R&D facilities worldwide, supported by over 650 employees, the expanded Clover location marks a crucial step in the company’s strategic growth in the Americas. This move not only broadens its specialty chemical additives portfolio and global presence but also underscores MÜNZING’s dedication to providing innovative solutions, enhancing customer satisfaction, and fostering sustainable development.
