Distribution Increases for Asphalt Additives for the Construction Industry
Asphalt relies on several key additives to ensure its effectiveness, workability, and life span. Emulsifiers, anti-stripping agents, adhesive ingredients, and warm mix additives among them. A global chemicals and ingredients distributor recently increased distribution and availability in the U.S. for key asphalt additives. The company partnered with Nouryon, a global specialty chemicals leader. This enables further penetration of the asphalt market, reach, and capacity in the construction industry.
The company reports that along with Nouryon’s global reach and their functional additives, the new product line will provide Brenntag customers an extended portfolio of quality products, particularly anti-stripping agents and emulsifiers for asphalt, and further strengthen the overall partnership with Nouryon.
“We are very excited to partner with Nouryon, a global leader in specialty chemicals with a proven track record and well-rounded portfolio of products for asphalt applications,” commented Ted Davlantes, Brenntag Specialties President for Construction, Material Science. “We look forward to working together with Nouryon’s team of experts, as an extended arm of their sales force in the U.S. for the road construction and maintenance industries, which are key focus areas for us. Our Brenntag Specialties Material Science team is committed to providing customers with superior value-added services and quality Nouryon products including emulsifiers, anti-strips and warm mix additives.”
“Partnering with Brenntag will strengthen Nouryon’s expansion plans in the U.S. asphalt market by leveraging our diverse range of solutions,” said Joe Ferrara, Vice President of Paints and Coatings at Nouryon. “Through Brenntag, Nouryon is establishing a robust sales channel with an extensive network of skilled account managers nationwide. The collaboration allows customers to receive top-notch logistics support and access to local inventory, crucial factors during the asphalt paving season.”
