Award-Winning Projects Highlight New Approaches to HVAC Protection and Recyclable Packaging
H.B. Fuller, a global manufacturer of adhesives, sealants, coatings, and specialty chemical solutions, has recognized two customer projects that use advanced materials to address challenges in HVAC insulation and recyclable food packaging.
Bin Dasmal General Trading Co., a supplier of engineering and building products, was recognized for a prefabricated HVAC insulation system designed for hot, humid climates. The system incorporates H.B. Fuller’s Foster® NeoClad™ protective vapor barrier jacketing into an offsite fabrication process.
According to H.B. Fuller, the approach is intended to improve protection against condensation and corrosion while reducing onsite installation time and helping extend system service life.
Huhtamaki, a global packaging manufacturer, received recognition for ProDairy, a recyclable paper-based dairy cup that reduces polyethylene content from a two-layer PE construction to a single poly-coating. The solution uses a high-performance H.B. Fuller varnish to replace the external polyethylene layer while maintaining resistance to moisture and abrasion.
For dairy producers and packaging converters, the design is intended to reduce plastic use and improve recyclability while maintaining the barrier performance required for chilled products.
H.B. Fuller said the two projects were selected for their technical achievement, market impact, and ability to demonstrate measurable improvements in sustainability, performance, and operational efficiency.
