Sika Acquisition Expands Polymeric Jointing Options for Landscaping Applications
Sika, a global manufacturer of construction chemicals, sealants, adhesives, and related building materials, has acquired Azpects Group, a UK manufacturer of products for landscaping and hardscape applications.
Azpects’ portfolio includes polymeric paving joint compounds used in patios, pathways, driveways, and other paved areas. According to Sika, these products address a growing market shift away from traditional sand-and-cement jointing systems toward polymer-based alternatives.
For landscaping contractors and installers, the acquisition may provide broader access to Azpects products through Sika’s existing distribution network and customer channels in the UK.
Sika also expects the combination to create manufacturing and logistics efficiencies while expanding the availability of Azpects technologies to new customer segments.
Christoph Ganz, Regional Manager EMEA at Sika, said the company’s distribution network will help introduce the Azpects product range into additional channels and markets.
The transaction expands Sika’s presence in landscaping and hardscape construction while adding polymeric jointing technologies to its broader construction materials portfolio.
