Expanded EPD Portfolio Gives Construction Teams More Environmental Data for Material Selection
W. R. MEADOWS, a manufacturer of building envelope and concrete construction materials, has added Environmental Product Declarations for several concrete curing, densifier, and waterproofing products.
The newly available EPDs cover SIL-CRETE, MED-CURE, LIQUI-HARD, LIQUI-HARD ULTRA, HRM 714, and PRECON. According to the company, it now offers 65 product- and plant-specific EPDs covering 23 products across multiple construction material categories.
For architects, engineers, contractors, and specifiers, EPDs provide third-party verified information about a product’s environmental impacts across its life cycle. The documentation can help project teams compare materials, support sustainability-focused specifications, and provide information used in green building certification programs.
W. R. MEADOWS developed the declarations with Sustainable Minds, an ISO 14025 program operator, while the Athena Sustainable Materials Institute performed independent third-party verification.
The products are also listed in the Sustainable Minds Transparency Catalog™, which allows construction professionals to access and compare environmental transparency documentation during product selection and specification.
Kimberly Lombardozzi, Sustainability Manager for W. R. MEADOWS, said expanding the company’s EPD portfolio is intended to give customers more of the environmental information needed to make informed material decisions.
In addition to EPDs, W. R. MEADOWS provides Health Product Declarations, Living Building Challenge letters, sustainability letters, and other documentation to support project requirements.
