Acquisition Expands Adhesive and Additive Options for Corrugated Packaging Manufacturers
HarperLove, a manufacturer of adhesives, performance additives, and technical solutions for the corrugated packaging industry, has acquired the corrugated products business of ChromaScape, a specialty chemicals and colorants company.
According to HarperLove, the acquisition expands its customer reach and adds several specialty product technologies used by corrugated box manufacturers.
The acquired portfolio includes LBX®, a product designed to replace borax and caustic in starch batches; CorrMax® additives developed to enhance corrugating performance; and WaterGuard® wet-strength resins.
For corrugated manufacturers, the combination is expected to provide access to a broader range of adhesive and performance-enhancement products supported by HarperLove’s technical, manufacturing, and customer-service capabilities.
Kenny Messer, President and CEO of HarperLove, said the acquisition combines ChromaScape’s established customer relationships with HarperLove’s technical expertise and manufacturing resources.
The company stated that the transaction will also expand its ability to support corrugated packaging customers across additional geographic regions.
