Expanded Distribution Agreement Broadens Access to Silicone Additives Across EMEA
Manufacturers in plastics and composites markets across EMEA may see broader access to silicone additive technologies under an expanded distribution agreement between Univar Solutions and Dow.
According to the announcement, Univar Solutions will distribute Dow’s silicone additives throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, extending an existing strategic partnership between the two companies. The additives are intended to support performance, processing, and sustainability objectives in plastics and composite applications.
For end users, the expanded arrangement may improve access to technical support, product selection, and commercialization resources through Univar Solutions’ regional network. The company said its Essen Solution Center works with suppliers to develop application-driven solutions for CASE, rubber, and plastics markets, supported by local sales and supply chain capabilities.
Matthew Oliver of Univar Solutions said the partnership expansion is intended to help customers meet performance and sustainability goals with advanced silicone technologies. The companies also stated that the collaboration is designed to deliver a broader range of specialty solutions tailored to manufacturers’ operational needs.
