W. R. MEADOWS Acquisition Adds Foam-Based Product Capacity for Construction Markets
W. R. MEADOWS has acquired Alcot Plastics Ltd., a Canadian producer of extruded polyethylene foam products, in a move that expands its manufacturing capabilities and product offerings in foam-based materials.
According to W. R. MEADOWS, the transaction is intended to strengthen service to customers across North America and Canada while broadening access to products used in concrete construction and related applications.
Alcot Plastics manufactures products such as backer rods, expansion joint fillers, foam sheets, and specialty foam components. W. R. MEADOWS stated that Alcot’s extrusion technology supports flexible production, including smaller-volume runs and controlled processing.
For contractors, distributors, and construction product users, the acquisition may expand access to foam materials through a broader combined platform while maintaining continuity at Alcot. W. R. MEADOWS said Alcot will continue operating under its current name and management structure, with employees remaining in place.
Glenn Tench of W. R. MEADOWS said the acquisition is intended to support long-term growth and strengthen the company’s ability to serve customers with a wider range of products.
