Latex Sealant Launch Targets Cold-Weather and Wet-Surface Application Needs

DAP has introduced Dynaflex Ultimate, a new latex sealant developed for residential and commercial sealing applications involving windows, doors, siding, and trim.

According to DAP, the sealant is available in white and clear formulas and was designed to support flexibility, adhesion, and weather durability in exterior sealing environments. The company stated that the white formula meets ASTM C920 Class 50, while the clear formula meets Class 35.

For contractors and installers, one of the key product features is low-temperature application capability. DAP reported that the white formula can be applied in temperatures as low as 20 °F, while the clear version can be used down to 30 °F. The company also stated that the sealant bonds to wet surfaces, which may help maintain workflow in damp or unpredictable jobsite conditions.

DAP said the white formula is paint- and rain-ready in 30 minutes, while the clear formula is ready in 1 hour. The company also reported that the sealant provides shrink resistance, water cleanup, and long-term resistance to mold, mildew, and algae.

According to DAP, the product adheres to wood, vinyl, fiber cement, aluminum, and composite materials and is intended to help protect against air, water, and moisture intrusion in building envelope applications.
