Expanded IMCD-Evonik Agreement Broadens U.S. Access to Specialty Methacrylates
Evonik and IMCD have expanded their distribution partnership to include the United States, broadening access to VISIOMER® specialty methacrylates for customers in the U.S. market.
According to the companies, the product line is used in applications including coatings, adhesives and sealants, construction materials, composites, and polymer synthesis. The expanded agreement follows existing collaboration between the companies in Brazil and Canada.
For formulators and manufacturers, the arrangement is expected to increase availability of specialty methacrylate materials while also expanding access to technical support and formulation assistance through IMCD’s U.S. organization, according to the companies.
Muge Tamkan, Vice President, Coatings & Construction, Americas at IMCD, said the expanded relationship is intended to support customers with product access, formulation support, and application know-how. Joao Souza, Head of Specialty Methacrylates for the Americas region at Evonik, said the agreement is expected to strengthen service and market coverage in the United States.
