Sika Acquisition of Finja Expected to Expand Product Availability in Nordic Construction Markets

Sika has announced an agreement to acquire Finja, a Swedish manufacturer of mortars and facade systems, in a move that is expected to broaden product availability and manufacturing capacity across the Nordic construction market.

According to Sika, Finja’s portfolio includes dry mortars, floor leveling compounds, and facade solutions used in residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The company stated that Finja’s two manufacturing facilities in Sweden are positioned near major economic regions, supporting distribution across the country.

Finja serves customers through a wide network of distributors and retailers, as well as direct relationships with contractors, installers, architects, and designers. Sika indicated that maintaining this distribution presence will support continued access to Finja products following the acquisition.

The company also noted that combining Finja with its previously acquired Danish business Marlon is intended to strengthen regional coverage of the mortar segment and provide a broader range of solutions for construction professionals in the Nordic countries.

Christoph Ganz, Regional Manager EMEA at Sika, said the acquisition is expected to enhance Sika’s ability to serve Nordic customers by integrating Finja’s product range and distribution capabilities with Sika’s global organization.

Completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, with closing anticipated in early 2026.
