Welcome to the Adhesives.Org Library
The adhesive.org library contains a variety of resources to help you learn more about the many benefits of adhesives and sealants bring to our society.
This section is organized as follows:
Innovations in Adhesives -- An archive of articles detailing how adhesives and sealants positively impact modern design and assembly
Adhesives.org e-newsletter -- Published monthly, the adhesives.org newsletter reports on synposes of articles culled from today's scientific and mass media periodicals. Articles tend to focus on adhesives and sealants which make a positive contribution to design, as well as cutting edge developments in adhesion science that may portend the next generation of products. Past newsletters are archived in reverse chronological order for your convenience.
Technical Resources -- Here you will find an assortment of industry white papers, articles, case studies, and presentations delivered at past industry events. Posted in PDF form, these resources are designed to help educate and enlighten engineers, designers and architects alike.
Adhesive CAD Symbol -- In response to a need by the design community to enable an adhesive to be represented visually on computer-aided design (CAD) drawings, a new symbol has been developed. This section provides an overview of the symbol with information on how to download the file for use in your next CAD drawing.
Economic Cost Model -- How can I determine whether it makes economic sense to replace a mechanical fastener with an adhesive or sealant? This tool was developed by the Adhesive and Sealant Council several years ago with the intent of assisting engineers in evaluating substitution costs. Whlie economics is only part of the equation and adhesives/sealants confer many non-economic benefits which must be figured into the analysis, this tool could provide the justification you need to switch to an adhesive.
